Face down on the kitchen floor.

Doing laundry.

Running errands.

Staring at soup cans in the store with tears silently streaming.

And still, I couldn’t stop crying if I tried.

I bought more Bounty and stopped buying mascara.

Shell shocked, I called my brother to ask if I was still his sister after all.

He said:

Eventually I rowed back to shore.

I prayed like my life depended on it - because it did.

Somewhere in all that chaos I found a faith stronger and more real than anything I’d ever known.

Then I got obsessed.

Not with my personal pain.
With the subject of infidelity.

Driven doesn’t begin to describe it.

For years I studied constantly - weekends, holidays, and at my sister’s dining room table during what was technically my “vacation.”

My brother asked:
“What do you do for fun?”
Me: “Study infidelity.”
“That’s not fun!” he said.
“To me it is.” I said.

I talked to the betrayed, the cheaters, and the other adulterers.

I read the books, trauma systems, courses and clinical research on infidelity so you don’t have to.
